P-I-z-z-A

I seriously love pizza so much. I used to work at a pizza place for five years and I loved every minute of it. I even ate pizza almost every single day, and I didn’t ever get sick of it. Now that I am trying to be my healthiest self, version, whatever you want to call it, I cannot eat pizza all the time. I decided to experiment a little and find a healthier way to make pizza so I could still enjoy it but not worry as much. So here it is!

First thing I do is I get my veggies that I want  put on the pizza. I love sweet potatoes, I eat them all the time so I decided to roast them and put them on my pizza. I also cut up some zucchini and roasted those as well. It takes about 30-40 minutes to roast the sweet potatoes at 375 degrees and about 30 minutes for the zucchini.

potOnce those are in the oven for about 25 minutes I start prepping the rest of my pizza. For the base I use Papa Pita Greek Pita 100% Whole Wheat.

I then add any kind of pizza sauce, I think I used Ragu pizza sauce.

Once my sweet potatoes and zucchini are done roasting, I add them to the pizza. I also add green peppers, cut up chicken, shredded carrots, spinach and then top it off with shredded cheese.

pizza2 this is the finished product! The pita is only 170 calories and with veggies you cant go wrong 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you like to add to your pizza!
