With All Due Respect

I have been reading a new book that was sent to me called With All Due Respect. This book is written by Nina Ruesner and Debbie Hitchcock. I chose to read this book because I have a daughter who will be a tween or teen before I know it. It kind of terrifies me a bit. This book is written to help parents talk and communicate better with their teen.

Every chapter begins with scriptures and ends with prayer. What I like most about this book is that it is interactive. There is short activities that ask you questions and help you find more about your personal parenting style. In the first chapter there is a personal assessment to help you understand and learn to communicate better.

One of my favorite chapters it gives a short story written by someone who was struggling with their teen. This chapter explains and shows examples on how to let go of our expectations of our teens. All of the stories and examples are very relatable and I learned a lot on how to communicate better, even though my daughter is still a toddler.

I definitely recommend this help book if you have or are struggling with your tween or teen.
