I have another smoothie bowl recipe for all of you! Since it has gotten chilly here I am starting to feel like I am getting a cold. I hate being sick, especially with a toddler who is always on the go.
You all are probably wondering what does a cold have anything to do with a smoothie bowl? I am hoping that consuming a ton of greens and other type of veggies will help make my cold go away. I am not sure if it will, but it doesn’t hurt to try 🙂 Besides this smoothie is amazing, cold or no cold.
Lets get started: I think I will name this smoothie green monster!
First I pick the liquid, which is normally coconut water or coconut milk. I have one bottle of coconut water left, so I used half of it. Since it is a smoothie bowl we want it to be thicker.
- Coconut water ( can be coconut milk, almond milk, water or any liquid you enjoy)
- a handful of shredded carrots
- a large handful of spinach/kale
- half a frozen banana
- 2 frozen strawberries
- 3 frozen pineapple chunks
- a dash of cinnamon
- one full scoop of greens powder (any kind of greens powder you like)
- a dash of ground ginger
I didn’t use protein powder in the recipe, if you want you can add it to yours!
Next thing is to blend it all up and pour it into your bowl!
Then add your toppings and you are good to go! I only had 2 toppings for this smoothie bowl, I used granola and chia seeds.
Last but not least, sit back and relax, and enjoy!
I hope you all had a great week and hope you have a fantastic weekend! Let me know what you think of this recipe in the comments. Also, if you have any tips to get rid of a cold or the start of a cold let me know!
This looks amazing!! I’m lactose intolerant so I love coconut milk so much as an alternative. Can’t wait to try this ❤
