There are days where sometimes you just feel down. You know what I mean? The days where people say to you “wow you woke up on the wrong side of the bed” and everything just seems impossible. Well that was sorta me yesterday. My daughter woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She was fiesty and mean the entire day.
When it came time for her nap, it was like I was the meanest person in the world. She wanted to lay in her big girl bed, but all she did was mess around. We battled for over 2 hours. Do you think she finally fell asleep? The answe is no. She was the picture of terrible two’s.
Today has gone much better, minus nap time of course. We both shed a few tears but she finally fell asleep. I figured with my rough day yesterday I’d post a happy quote today. Except it’s more like a life motto than quote.
I saw this today and thought it was perfect. Even on the rough days we do need to find a way to be happy. I know it’s extremely difficult. I failed at it yesterday, but I want to try and be better. What are your tips and tricks to get out of a bad mood? Some like to dance, sing, go on a walk and there are many other ways. I chose to eat 2 donuts yesterday (it’s ok I’m pregnant, one for me one for baby ๐ jk).
Let me know in the comments your mood boosters!
As always, thank you so much for reading!

I find sometimes it’s just a matter of the mind – thinking happy thoughts, and /or doing something that makes you feel good. It’s important to get up, get moving, and taking action! Also, nature is a great way to lift a mood – we all need to get out and take a walk in the woods, watch the woodland creatures, and breath some fresh air.

I totally understand what you’re saying!! It could have been me writing this post. My daughter’s seems like is in her terrible two’s too. She refuses to sleep day and night. I can’t sleep too because she wakes up many times in the middle of the night and when she doesn’t sleep… OMG! ๐๐

I remember those days from when my daughter was a toddler…she NEVER napped and would consistently wake up at 5 am = ridiculously long days and one tired mama. It gets easier — I promise ๐ My key to happiness then (and still today) is copious amounts of tea. Mostly because it’s the only thing that keeps me awake :):

Oh boy that sounds like super long days! I can’t have tea with caffeine right now but once I can I’ll be drinking tons of it!

Oh I feel for you! My son is 5 now so thank god he is past that stage but he NEVER wanted to nap. He would get so grumpy because he needed the nap lol.
When I want to get out of a bad mood, I try to find something to watch that I know makes me laugh. Usually an episode of Friends, or funny animal YouTube videos.

I hope she doesn’t stay in the not wanting to sleep phase lol. That’s a great idea I love watching Parks and Rec, it always makes me laugh.

This is so on point with how I’ve been feeling lately. Though mines been more than a day of “funk.” I try to just look at the world around me and know how lucky I am. And a good cup of coffee always helps me ๐
