Oatmeal for Breakfast Please

Hello! How’s everyone’s week going? We have had a long week with a little one who doesn’t want to sleep. Riley woke me up at 6:40 am today when she normally sleeps til 8:00am.

Every morning Riley and I have a morning routine. We get up, put our dog outside, fill his food and water. Then we fill up a water for Riley and I. I always have warm lemon water to start my day. It helps set up your system for the day! Once our dog, Bruno, is inside we start making breakfast. For the past couple of months we have been really into warm bowls of oatmeal. They are delicious and keep us full. Riley always goes for the berry oatmeal that I posted awhile back. For me, I have a peanut butter banana oatmeal. I add extra ingredients to give it extra flavor.

Here’s what I use:

  • 1/3 cup oatmeal ( before I was pregnant I did 1/4 cup)
  • One big scoop of peanut butter (I’m obsessed)
  • A sprinkle of dark chocolate chips ( I don’t use to many, just enough to give it a delicious flavor)
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • Honey
  • One banana cut up
  • Chia seed pudding ( I only add this every so often)

That’s all I do once I get all the toppings in my bowl I mix it all up. It is satisfying and keeps me full almost all morning.

There’s oatmeal hiding under the bananas!

I hope you all enjoy this recipe, if you have a favorite let me know in the comments!

Thank you all for stopping by!

  1. Omg the peanut butter was a eureka moment for me! I love peanut butter truly madly and deeply, and I’m always looking for ways to make boring oatmeal more sinfully delicious. Thanks for this tip! Will be trying it in the morning.
