Shea Moisture African Black Soap

Hello all! 

I have a bit of skin care update for you. Awhile back I purchased the Shea Moisture African Black Soap hoping it will help with my acne situation. I figured it’s been a few months since I started using it, I’ll share my thoughts on it so far. 

I have oily skin and of course it is acne prone, I feel like I’m a teen all over again. I have heard that this bar soap helps with acne and charcoal soap is said to be the best. I have only noticed a small difference in my skin since I have started using it. My skin is a lot smoother and it feels so soft after washing my face. I love it. At first I thought I purchased a bad bar because it had brown little specks in it.  I then realized that it was part of the soap, we can blame it on my mama brain. 

My acne hasn’t gone away completely, and I realize it won’t since I am pregnant. It is kind of hard to tell because my breakouts are all hormonal. I’m hoping once baby boy is here my little breakouts go away, fingers crossed! 

The one weird thing I have recently noticed is when I use the bar my skin feels sticky once I wash my face with water. It is very odd because it’s only been the past week that it has felt like this. Anyone else use this bar and have this problem? 

All in all I really like this bar soap, and on the bonus it’s I believe under $5 or just a little over. At this point I do recommend giving it a try if you have been on the fence about it!
